Wind farm projects
Wind farms are certainly most dynamic sector of all renewable energy sources. Since changes in law in 2002 which implemented mechanism of guarantee of origin (so called "green certificates") wind energy market in Poland has begun it's intensive growth. By end-2013 total installed capacity of wind farms in reached 3390 MW. Much larger power is in development phase.
Utilization of wind in electricity production has numerous benefits:- Greenhouse gases emission reduction
- Increase of air quality
- No side-products of generation (no waste, sewage)
- Little area use allowing for preservation of current are function (mainly agricultural)
Project development consists of numerous stages from land acquisition through environmental permit and zoning plan finally to grid connection and building permit.
